Amazingness of the Day

London readers continue to browse at a bombed-out library at Holland House, Kensington, during Word War II.

Isn't this photograph amazing?  It is attributed to  James R. Benn, a World War II novelist.  Spectacular.

  1. Have you heard about "The Monuments Men"? It's a movie about people trying to save art during WWII. I kind of wish it had been about books instead (although art is although worth saving, obviously).

    1. I just saw the preview! It looks like good fun. Of course, it has Matt Damon in it, and I'll see anything with Matt Damon, so.
