Top Ten Books on my Spring 2014 TBR List

I'm participating in today's Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week's prompt is:

Top Ten Books on my Spring 2014 TBR (to be read) List

Goodness.  I always have several dozen books on my TBR list.  This isn't a list of new releases or up-and-coming books.  Rather, it's just the next ten books I plan on reading this Spring.  (Which, as always, is subject to change.)

10. Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
So much hype surrounding this one.  I'm trying to ignore it all and just take the book openly, but it's hard to do when it's been talked up so much.

9. The Selection by Kiera Cass
Recommended by Miss Inga Page, and sitting on my dresser as we speak!

8. Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi
WHY HAVE I NOT READ YOU YET, YOU BEAUTIFUL FLOWER?!?

7. The School for Good and Evil: A World Without Princes by Soman Chainani
It's prequel was this blog's first review.  I'm pretty choosy about my middle grade reads, but this series is fun and fully fleshed-out.

6. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
I'm on a Rowell kick these days.  I LOVED Fangirl and Attachments, so I figured I should read the one with the Printz award.

5. The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
Currently sitting on my shelf taunting me with its gorgeous cover.

4. Timebound by Rysa Walker
Another recommendation from a cousin of mine.  I'm number 22 on the library's wait list!

3. 97: Rise of the Battle Bred #1 by V.L. Holt
The author is an acquaintance from when I lived in Indiana, and she is a lovely, lovely person.  I'm looking forward to supporting her!

2. Tsarina by J. Nelle Patrick
A copy is on its way!  (Thank you Heather!)

1. Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
Yes, I do occasionally read outside of the YA zone.  This one sounds fantastic, and I'm really looking forward to it.

What are you reading next?

  • I HIGHLY recommend The Selection. I'm not-so-very-impatiently waiting for the May 6th release of the final book in the trilogy! I also have The Winner's Curse on my TBR--it sounds really good!

I agree about The Winner's Curse, it really sounds great! I have high hopes for it. I'm excited about The Selection, too, I've heard so many good things!
