Love Jane Austen? Me too! If you're interested in reading an Austen spinoff, this infographic is just for you. I've been meaning to read Longbourn, especially. (And I'm so glad Shannon Hale's Austenland made the list. I love that book. And that film. They're both awesome.)
From BookRiot:
My book club read Persuasion and For Darkness Shows the Stars for February. I still haven't finished Persuasion yet and so I haven't read FDStS yet. But, I'm excited to read it once I finish Persuasion.
ReplyDeleteI consider myself an Austen fan, but I actually haven't read either one of those either! Persuasion is one of my best friend's favorite books, so she's been trying to get me to read it for ages.
DeleteHeck yes I have! Of any book/heroine I've read in my life Anne Elliott is the most like me. Or, what I want to be. She's quiet and mild mannered, so people often think she's boring or a push over. But she's really strong when it comes to the things that really matter, and she's always kind. So yes... You really do need to read it. :)
DeleteHaha, preach it, friend!! :)
DeleteWow! I hadn't realized there were so many Jane Austen spin-offs!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, it's like a published fan fiction canon of itself.
