Book-to-Film: Macbeth by William Shakespeare

I've always had a thing for Macbeth.  It's definitely not a cheerful play, and you really have to be in the mood before you read/watch something this unhappy.  But I think Macbeth is a really stunning piece of work, and I'm glad a new adaptation is being made.  This one caught my interest right off the bat with the settings, costuming, casting, and clear sense of gloom and doom from just the trailer alone.  Also, it looks like everything is sort of red in this film, which kind of fits.  I'm so curious about it, but I'm not able to handle anything with too much intensity after giving birth.  (Which, with an October 2nd release date, will be about a month after my son is born.)  Postpartum issues are not something to take lightly, and I have a feeling I'm going to have to wait until I'm emotionally stable again before exposing myself to something this extreme.  But I will watch it.  Eventually.

Will you?
