Top Ten Books I'm Looking Forward To In 2015

I'm participating in today's Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's prompt is:

Top Ten Books I'm Looking Forward To in 2015

Maybe it's just me, but the year 2015 sounds WAY further into the future than a mere few weeks away.  Clearly I'm in denial that this year is almost over.  The good news is that there are a lot of great books coming out in 2015 that I cannot wait to get my hands on!  Here are my top ten picks for 2015:

10. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
At first I was all, "Why is Maas writing something else besides her Throne of Glass books??"  And then I was all, "WHO CARES.  IT'S SARAH J. MAAS."

9. Winter by Marissa Meyer
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about Fairest (Queen Levanna's back story) but I'm looking forward to Winter even more.

8. The Winds of Winter by George R.R. Martin
I don't know if this book will really be released in 2015, but if it isn't I might die.  (I'm nothing if not undramatic.)

7. The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson
I want this book SO. BAD.

6. The Forgotten Sisters by Shannon Hale
Bring it on, Ms. Hale.  Bring. It. On.

5. Of Dreams and Rust by Sarah Fine
I feel like I'm using a lot of caps lock in this post.  I can't help it, these books bring out the caps lock in me.  Including this one.

4. Golden Son by Pierce Brown
I just found out that this book is currently on NetGalley.  So I may not have to wait until 2015 after all.  MUAHAHAHAHA.

3. The Heir by Kiera Cass
I am going into this one a little cautiously, but I'm certainly going into it.

2. Mark of the Thief by Jennifer A. Nielsen
Ever since Ms. Nielsen talked about this book in my interview with her a few months ago, I've wanted to read this book really badly.  It sounds rad.

1. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
I've never read anything by her before, but there are many others with similar book-tastes as me who RAVE about her.  So I figure I should give her books a go.  Plus, that cover is gorgeous.  (Schwab fans, is this the best place for a Schwab beginner to start?)

What books are you looking forward to??

  1. Winter and A Darker Shade of Magic would definitely make my list had I made a top ten today. :) Great list!

Oh good! Glad to know another Lunar Chronicles fan. I've never read anything by Schwab before, but this one does look really good to me.

  • WINTER. I SIMPLY AM NOT CAPABLE OF WAITING. I love love love this series. Did you read the others yet or are you waiting for Winter so you don't wait in agony like yours truly?

    1. I'm waiting, maybe not all the way until Winter is released, but close enough to it that I won't have to torture myself too long until it comes out!! I loved Cinder, and I hear the series just gets better. Can't wait.

  • I'm looking forward to Winter as well. At this point, I've only read Cinder, but I kind of want to wait to read the others until it's closer to Winter's release. But, I'll probably cave, lol.

    1. That's exactly what I'm doing! I've only read Cinder, but I've heard such good things about the other books that I know I'll read them soon. Really looking forward to Winter being released so that I'll have a good excuse to binge read ALL OF THEM. :)
