Top Ten Book Characters That Would Be Sitting At My Lunch Table

I'm participating in today's Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's prompt is:

Top Ten Book Characters That Would Be Sitting At My Lunch Table

So, let's pretend that I'm headed back to school this week.  If I were in school with all the fictional characters I read about (and not making endless batches of Macaroni and Cheese like I actually do during lunch time these days) these are the people who would sit at my lunch table:

10. Hermione Granger
I often did homework during lunch in high school.  Needless to say, Hermione and I would be BFFs.

9. Ron Weasley
Because where Hermione goes, Ron goes.

8. Harry Potter
Because where Ron goes, Harry goes.

7. Ginny Weasley
Because where Harry goes, Ginny goes.

6. Neville Longbottom
Because it's turning into a Gryffindor party up in here.

5. Luna Lovegood
Because you need a Ravenclaw to keep order amid the hot-headed Gryffindors and the inevitable nargles.

4. Fred and George Weasley
Because once it starts turning into a crowd, Fred and George will be drawn to the action

3. Professor McGonagall
Because she is far too responsible to let all those Weasleys in one room together without adult supervision.

2. Cedric Diggory
Because it doesn't get good until a ghost shows up.

1. Hagrid
Because he always manages to turn up at happy moments.

Did I just make the student body of Hogwarts eat lunch with me in a cafeteria in my head?  Why yes.  Yes I did.

  1. Fantastic list! I love that you went with the Harry Potter theme :) Hagrid would be a great lunch companion!

    1. Wouldn't he, though? So long as he left his rock cakes at home... :)
